Terms of Service

By using Alaska Daylight you agree to these terms. Last updated October 2026.

What this site is

A free reference that computes sunrise, sunset, solar noon, twilight, and daylight duration for Alaska communities using the standard NOAA solar-position algorithm. All times are shown in Alaska Time.

Accuracy

Computed times typically agree with published tables within about a minute. They are calculated for town-center coordinates and do not account for local terrain (mountains delay visible sunrise), weather, or atmospheric conditions. Do not use these times for navigation, aviation, or any safety-critical purpose.

Acceptable use

Use the site for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, misrepresent its data as your own without attribution, or scrape it aggressively enough to degrade service for others.

Advertising

The site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Ad content is the responsibility of the advertisers.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its data.

Changes

These terms may change; continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
